A sub rectangular pit or pond of probable medieval to post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1). This earthwork is located at TG 5145 3100 and lies at about 1m OD. The pit or pond measures up to 20m long by 8.5m wide. It is sub rectangular in plan with rounded ends and lies on a northwest to southeast alignment. This feature is not marked on the first edition 6" Ordnance Survey map (S2). It is possible that it is a clay extraction pit or a pond. The earthwork had been levelled by 1963.
