NHER 41660 (Building record) - The King's Head

September 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Public House. 18th century. Colour-washed brick. Hipped pantile roof. Rectangular on plan with extensions to side and rear. Facade of 3 bays, 2 storeys and attic. Central glazed porch with over-light; 20th century porch. To either side of porch a tripartite sash with glazing bars and horns. Platband."

(S2) identifies this with a King's Head mentioned in a mortgage of 1668, and again in 1697, and suggest the building is of this date with three rear wings of various later dates, extension of 1936, ground floor opened out 1985.
