Summary
A large World War Two semi-sunken air raid shelter is visible as an earth covered structure on aerial photographs. Its size suggests that it was a public shelter, one of several constructed within the town. It is first visible on photographs taken in February 1941 and has been levelled since the end of the war.

June 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two semi-sunken air raid shelter is visible as an earth covered structure on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5306 0854. It is broadly rectilinear in shape, with two entrances. Structures visible within its roof probably mark the site of ventilation shafts.
