Full Description
July 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two air raid shelter is visible as an earth covered structure on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TG 5224 0813. It appears to consist of four curved or parabola profiled elements, two long and two short, erected side by side to form an L shaped block. These may be semi-sunken or surface structures. All four elements have an entrance at their southern end; the longer two at least also have an entrance at their north end. The entrances are protected by blast walls. Modern maps indicate that the site has since been built over.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 12 July 2005.
