A World War Two slit trench is visible on contemporary aerial photographs (S1 to S2). This defensive earthwork was located at TG 5151 1334. The trench has a typical zig zag plan with an adjacent bank and measures up to 30m. The trench appears to have been in place by August 1940 (S1).
