Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting at this site in 2006 recovered Neolithic and undatable prehistoric worked flints; medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; ?Roman and post-medieval coins and a number of other medieval, post-medieval and undatable metal objects. A concentration of iron slag was also identified.

Field survey on proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Field 49).
Finds recovered included:
4 prehistoric worked flints.
1 ?Roman coin.
1 medieval buckle.
1 post-medieval coin, 1 crotal bell, 1 wall-mounted pulley and 1 copper alloy button.
1 undatable copper alloy sheet fragment, 2 pieces of lead shot, 1 lead disc and 1 lead waste fragment.
