Full Description
July 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two air raid shelter is visible as an earth or vegetation covered structure on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5217 0781. It appears to consist of several elongated segments laid side by side, each with curved or parabola shaped profile, and may in fact be three or more individual shelters, oriented north to south and with entrances probably located at their north ends. The shelter (or shelters) was presumably used by the inhabitants of nearby houses. Together with the surrounding buildings, it has been levelled since the end of the war.
