Map

July 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two air raid shelter is visible as an earth or vegetation covered structure on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2), centred at TG 5210 0779. It appears to consist of two long segments laid side by side, each with a curved or parabola shaped profile, and may in fact be two individual shelters, oriented east to west and with entrances probably located at either their east or west ends (or both). The shelter (or shelters) was presumably used by the inhabitants of nearby houses. More recent aerial photographs indicate that it has been levelled and partially built over since the end of the war.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 25 July 2005.
