Summary

Metal-detecting in 2005 and 2022 recovered Roman coins; post-medieval tokens and a number of other, undated and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated copper alloy ring; a Bronze Age axehead fragment; a Roman finger ring and brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon strap-end; a medieval buckle and harness pendant; a post-medieval button, strap fitting, book clasp, harness mount, ramrod holder from a musket or other muzzle-loading firearm and a gold finger ring. The Roman coins from this site may be part of a coin hoard - see NHER 41867.
