Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting between 2005 and 2024 recovered Roman and post-medieval pottery sherds; Late Iron Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and tokens and a range of other Middle/Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Middle/Late Iron Age 'lipped' terret; Roman brooches, nail cleaners, a bracelet fragment and lead steelyard weight; Early Saxon brooch fragments and a copper alloy probable mould for production of repoussé sheet; a Middle Saxon pin; Middle/Late Saxon strap ends; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl or weight; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval harness mount and lead seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval coin weight, book clasp, thimble and copper alloy ring and a post-medieval lead cloth seal.
