Map

August 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches, possibly field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 5091 1155. Four intermittently visible linear ditch cropmarks are present on a parallel roughly north to south alignment. The longest of the ditches lies in the eastern part of the group and extends for up to 190m. It is crossed by a modern field boundary. Adjoining the eastern side of this ditch is a west to east aligned ditch. These ditches cross other cropmarks of a possible Iron Age to Roman enclosure and trackway (NHER 27549). It is possible that they are field boundaries but their date is uncertain. With the exception of the west to east ditch, their alignment does not conform to that of the surviving post medieval field pattern.
