Cropmarks of undated enclosures, trackways and linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The area of these cropmarks has been extended and their central grid reference amended from TM 4059 9956 to TM 4036 9935. Cropmarks of linear ditches are present forming incomplete enclosures or fields and trackways. An incomplete rectilinear enclosure with a slightly trapezoidal plan is located at TM 4061 9950. It measures 65m by 51m externally. Intermittent parallel ditch cropmarks are present in the southern part of the group, possibly defining a trackway. The alignment of these cropmarks does not fully correspond to the post medieval field pattern and it is likely that they relate to field boundaries and trackways of an earlier unknown date. Their alignment is also different to that of a double-ditched enclosure cropmark to the north (NHER 41942).
J. Albone (NMP), 04 July 2007
