Cropmarks of an incomplete undated curvilinear enclosure are visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is centred TG 5081 1404. Only the north and east sides of the enclosure are visible as cropmarks. It appears to have a roughly quadrilateral plan measuring 37m by 39m in size. A ditch subdivides the eastern part of the enclosure, separating off a 36m by 11m area. An entrance, defined by a small outward splay in the main enclosure ditch, is present at the northeast corner of the western part of the enclosure. This enclosure is crossed by north to south and west to east ditches of unknown, possibly early Saxon date (NHER 12828). The date of the enclosure is not certain. It does not have any direct relationship to the ditches of the probable Bronze Age coaxial field system (NHER 12828). However, it could represent a different phase of Bronze Age or Iron Age activity.
