Full Description
Around 2002. 'Found where the pigs are by Tibenham airfield' (NHER 23222), therefore not nessarily in Tibenham parish.
Human mandible; young juvenile; teeth missing.
Identified as more than 70 years old.

January 2006.
E. Rose (NLA) was told that the findspot was 'in disturbed ground by a moat'.

NHER 10937, Channonz Hall, is a moated site in the centre of the airfield.

It has now been established that the bone came from soil removed from a moat somewhere in Suffolk and delivered here up to ten years before 2005.
