Full Description
September 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two pillbox is visible on aerial photographs, partially buried on the beach at Waxham in 1965 (S1). The pillbox is centred on TG 4445 2621 and only a small fragment, measuring 2.5m by 1.5m, is visible. This structure is not visible on earlier wartime aerial photographs, this could indicate that it was either camouflaged or largely subsurface.
S. Massey (NMP), 29 September 2005.
