Summary

An early 18th century brick house with a slate roof and later alterations. The house is now a doctor's surgery and flats. The building was damaged by a fire in 1994.

February 1984. Listed, Grade II.
House, now doctors surgery and flats. Early 18th century brick and slate, Single pile extended 1823 with additional pile at rear, and possibly earlier wing at east end. Two storeys and attics. Asymmetrical façade, five bays with offcentre door and Tuscan porch. Wooden cross windows, flat arches with key blocks. Rusticated quoins with capitals to removed platband at first floor. 3 wedge dormers. Parapet gables. Blocked oculus to west. End stacks. Lower east range two windows and door; platband; traces of pargetting; parapet gable with stack. Rear pile five bays of sash windows and French doors. Little 18th century interior survives except two doors, part of winding stair, ogee stops and chamfers on beams.
