Full Description
October 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a ring ditch, possibly relating to a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This cropmarks is located at TG 4884 1459. The ring ditch is sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 16m. It is likely that this ring ditch is of Bronze Age date and that it relates to a round barrow. It is located on a broad ridge at approximately 13m OD within a group of at least six ring ditches. The closest of these is located 140m to the northeast (NHER 18341). It lies at the southwest end of a linear alignment formed by that ring ditch and a further one 420m to the northeast (NHER 42049).
