Full Description
October 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of an incomplete curvilinear enclosure of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2). This cropmark is located at TG 4924 1339. Two curvilinear ditches, possibly forming an enclosure, are present as cropmarks. If this were an enclosure it would have a sub-oval or D-shaped plan and measure 26m by 23m. The large gaps in the ditch in the north and south sides mean that it is not possible to identify any entrances. The date of this enclosure is unknown and its relationship to the adjacent cropmarks of possible Iron Age to Roman enclosures and a possible Bronze Age field system are uncertain.
