Silver long cross penny of Alexander III of Scotland (1249 to 85, minted 1279 to 1285) second issue coin.
Obverse: Alexander facing left with sceptre + (AL)EXANDE(R) DEI GRATIA.
Reverse: Long cross pattee with 6-pointed mullet in each angle REX SCOTORVM +.
