Map

September 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A group of fragmentary linear and curvilinear cropmarks of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs to the west of French’s Farm, Waxham (S1). The site is centred on TG 4381 2597, although this point does not correspond to an archaeological feature. The site consists of a short section of parallel ditches, suggestive of a trackway, and a possible incomplete rectilinear enclosure.

The parallel curvilinear ditches run from approximately 30m from TG 4376 2599 to TG 4379 2598. Centred on TG 4385 2598 is a possible incomplete enclosure suggested by an L-shaped linear with a parallel ditch to the east, giving the appearance of an incomplete elongated enclosed area, 23m by at least 40m. A curvilinear ditch is also runs from TG 4375 2598 to TG 4378 2594.
