Full Description
November 2005. Norfolk NMP.
An inter tidal structure present in Breydon Water is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This structure is centred on TG 4900 0735. A linear structure extends intermittently for 245m on a roughly west to east alignment between TG 4887 0733 and TG 4912 0735. It is likely that this is a timber structure but it is not possible to determine its exact construction. The alignment of this structure is similar to that of two possible revetments located 180m further to the east (NHER 42172). It is possible that it was also a revetment positioned along the edge of a former channel. This structure is only clearly visible on aerial photographs dating to May 1980 (S1) and it is not known if any of it survived after that date. It was not observed during the Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey.
J. Albone (NMP), 22 November 2005.
