Full Description
December 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Zone Archaeological Survey.
Land-based survey; Cley, Salthouse and Kelling fresh-marshes, Context 6:
A group of parallel ditches and banks, aligned roughly east to west and north to south. Located between TG 05144 45160 and TG 05795 44954. Could be ridge and furrow features, although it is much more probable that they are drainage features associated with the reclamation/drainage of the marshes. Probably post medieval or modern in date.
See assessment report (S1) for further details.
The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2017.421).
D. Robertson (NLA), 2 March 2006. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 21 July 2019.
