Summary

This post medieval house was formerly an inn. It was built around 1700 and was extended and altered during the 19th century. It is located on the site of building shown on a late 16th or early 17th century map and may include timbers reused from this building.

House, former inn. On site of building shown on a map dating to between 1592 and 1617 ((S1), in (S2)) and on the original alignment, and reusing timbers apparently from this predecessor. Present building probably of around 1700; extended and altered in 19th century.
