NHER 42110 (Monument record) - Undated possible trackway

The cropmarks of a series of linear ditches, possibly part of a trackway of unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Stalham Road, Sea Palling (S1). The site is centred on TG 4210 2678. The site consists of a double-ditched linear feature running southwest from the edge of the field. The ditches are approximately 60m long and 5m apart. This possible trackway appears to lead into a wider funnelled trackway-like feature aligned north to south. It is possible that this is related to the movement of animals. However the archaeological origin of these cropmarks is not definite as there are possible signs of vehicle movement in the field and therefore these linears may be the result of old vehicle routes.
