Summary

No 26 The Common is a small one-storey timber-framed cottage with a steep pantile roof and an end stack. The house potentially dates to the 17th century, however internal details suggest that the building may date to the 18th century.

Photograph (S2) in file shows frame has long raking braces, and ceiling beam of small scantling. Gable wall of brick having narrow and very tall fireplace with bressumer (and now with 20th century flue inserted). These details suggest rather an 18th century date.
