Summary

A wreck of an unidentified boat is visible close to the north bank of Breydon Water on aerial photographs. Although the type of vessel is unknown it is probably of 19th or 20th century date.

A wreck of an unidentified boat is visible in Breydon Water on aerial photographs (S1). This wreck is located at TG 4802 0709 adjacent to the northern bank of Breydon Water. The vessel is aligned roughly east to west, apparently with its prow to the west. It is completely visible and measures 17m (56 feet) long by 4m (13 feet) wide, making it the same size as another wreck to its south (NHER 42185). Although it is not possible to determine the type of vessel, it is probably of 19th or 20th century date. Further wrecks are located to the south (NHER 42185) and northeast (NHER 42384, 42186, 42187 and 42188).
