August 2006. Building Survey.
Examined by Norfolk Historic Buildings Group:
The farm is north facing and constructed from brick with gable ends of 'tumbled' brickwork. The roof is reed thatch and there is a later thatched porch over the central doorway with brick pilasters on either side of the door, which may be original as the sill seems to be continuous around them. The lobby entrance, one and a half storeys, narrow bricks and brick gables seem to indicate that the building is mid to late 17th century. The house appears to have been updated in the early 19th century with a new ground floor fireplace, brick built extension to the east and pine detailing on the first floor. The owner has evidence of rent being paid in 1710.
