Map

January 2006.
A 19th century steam powered drainage pump was formerly present at this location. The pump is marked as a 'Steam Engine' on the 1838 Acle Tithe map (S1) and as a 'Draining Pump' on the 1880s first edition 6 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map (S2). Although the site now lies within Great Yarmouth parish, it was previously within a detached part of Acle parish. The pump was not marked on Bryant's 1826 map of Norfolk (S3) and was presumably constructed after that date.
