An earthwork of a possible late Saxon to medieval saltern mound is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This earthwork is centred on TG 4663 0827 in an area of former marshland. It has an irregular plan and measures 46m long by 28m wide. It is possible that this a saltern mound of late Saxon to medieval date.
