January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
An earthwork of a probable late Saxon to medieval saltern mound is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This earthwork is centred on TG 4868 0783 in an area of former marshland. The mound had an irregular figure of 8 plan and measures 68m long by up to 25m wide. It is likely that this is a saltern mound of late Saxon to medieval date. Other saltern mounds are located 670m to the east (NHER 10412, 42174).
