Summary

A Roman to Early Saxon buckle plate was found in Great Moulton in the 1940s. The exact nature and location of its discovery is unclear. The decoration on the buckle depicts two lions and a human face.

Roman/Early Saxon cast copper alloy 'soldiers and settlers' type buckle plate, complete, with a good olive green patina.
