Summary

This pair of estate cottages date to the mid 19th century. They are built of carstone with red brick dressings, are two storeys tall and have a plain tile roof.

Listing Description:
Pair of estate cottages, mid 19th century, carstone with red brick dressings, plain tiles, cockscomb ridge to no. 10. Four bays, two storeys; central axial stack with six linked shafts; outer bays with single storeyed porches having four centred brick arches, boarded doors with original fittings and strap hinges having fleur de lys finials; cast iron lattice glazing bars to casements, of three lights to bays two and three of ground floor, and two lights to each bay of first floor. Returns: ground floor with 2-light casements having cast iron lattice glazing bars. Included as example of 19th century estate cottages with unaltered facades.
