Listing Description:
A long 17th century timber-frame range, plastered. Steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. Internal brick chimney stack near south end. North end has parapeted brick gable with internal stack. Two storeys. Four window range. 19th century and modern casements. Kirkstone has small late 19th century gabled porch, the Long House and Post Office have modern doors.

When the Long House was restored in the 1970s a pump tree was found in the roof space and left there as it was too large to remove. It must have been placed there when the house was built or when the attic floor was inserted if it is of later date. [1].
