A site consisting of a relatively shallow area of extraction is visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1) and Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1967 (S2). It is irregular in plan, although it is roughly diamond shape, 85m by 30m. At TF 6449 3350, near to the southern point of the cut, is a small circular pit or shaft. To the southeast is a narrow channel or drain, 16m long, coming off the main area.
