Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A group of three oblong pits in a line, visible on Ordnance Survey vertical aerial photographs from 1967 (S1). These range from 6.5 to 8m long and 4 to 5m wide. The may be oyster beds, possibly fed from one of the drains by a feeder channel. If this is case they are likely to be earlier than the sea bank (NHER 26617) to the west. These features are located on what was Heacham common.
S. Massey (NMP), 17 April 2002.
