Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Group of earthworks probably all dating to medieval to post medieval periods visible on RAF 1944 (S1) and 1946 (S2) aerial photographs. A possible area of ridge and furrow is visible measuring at least 180m by 165m. It looks very narrow and regular so it may be quite late, possibly even post medieval. The area is bounded to the west by a bank, 135m long and up to 5m wide. A ditch or drain cuts across the field, suggesting that it is later than the possible ridge and furrow. A similar group of possible drainage ditches are centred on TF 6700 3799. It is possible that these may relate to the post medieval water meadow sites, situated to the north and south (NHER 3387 and 26837).
