Full Description
April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A possible post medieval enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (S1). The site consists of earthwork ditches possibly defining three sides of a rectilinear enclosure, measuring at least 17m by 20m. The site is centred on TF 6627 3545.
S. Massey (NMP), 16 April 2002.
August 2025. Northwest Norfolk Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AI&M) Project (volunteer strand).
Parts of the possible post medieval rectilinear enclosure described above may still be visible as earthworks on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2018 (S2). While it is probable that these elements still survive, the remainder of the enclosure may have been levelled. It should be noted, however, that the lidar visualisation is not particularly clear, perhaps due to vegetation cover.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 12 August 2025.
