Map

Deck overbridge carrying Martham Road over former Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway.
Very unusual type. The railway line crosses the road at an angle so that the actual passageway is skew, but the steel deck is straight, so that part of each end of it is underbuilt by the abutments. These are of concrete blocks, rising to form piers. Iron or steel deck with troughs and parapets.
The railway was opened 1878, it is not known if the bridge is contemporary.
For the railway line see NHER 13581.
Demolished February 2006.
