Summary

Constructed as the All Hallows Country Hospital in 1873 superceding a nearby building in which sisters from All Hallows Community (NHER 43181) had ministered to the sick. Financed by donations from the clergy and benefactors and built so as to be near to the railway station to allow poor people to attend. The original block is single storey with a central porch having a pointed door flanked by traceried windows. To each side, lancet windows alternate with doors under pairs of lancets and gables. The building is topped with ornate chimneys. The interior has been modernised and is still in use.
