Map

Pair of houses, now one dwelling, aligned east to west along track. Of flint with details of bricks bearing horizontal skintlings. Pantile roof with central stack. Two first floor windows interrupt a dentilled cornice. Ground floor has two windows, and originally a door at each end, their outer jambs sharing the brickwork of the quoins. Brick string course at base with central stitching course below this alone. Gable walls blank. Rear elevation mostly covered by sinusoidal profiled extensions, but a very large flint nodule is visible.
Shown on (S1) but not on (S2). Proposed for demolition. What is the reason for the siting of this building at this late date?
E. Rose (NLA), 18 February 2006.
