Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of an incomplete rectangular enclosure of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is located at TF 7337 3529. Cropmarks of ditches forming three sides of a rectangular enclosure are present. The enclosure lies on a north to south axis and measures at least 35m by 25m externally. Its alignment appears to follow that slope of the valley side and does not match that of the surviving post medieval field pattern. It is possible that this enclosure is of medieval or earlier date, but its exact date is not certain.
J. Albone (NMP), 03 March 2006
