Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
An earthwork of a linear boundary bank of probable modern date is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This earthwork is centred on TF 7142 3607. A 5m wide earthwork bank is present on a roughly southwest to northeast alignment. It is visible for a distance of 70m between TF 7140 3604 and TF 7143 3610. This bank defines the edge of a woodland in parkland around Sedgeford Hall. The boundary that it forms is not marked on the second edition 6 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map (S2) and appears to be of 20th century origin. Another linear bank earthwork is also present within the parkland (NHER 43411).
J. Albone (NMP), 17 March 2006.
