Summary

A cropmark of a medieval to post medieval road is visible on aerial photographs. Its position corresponds exactly with a road marked on a 1631 estate map of Sedgeford. The road, which is probably medieval to early post medieval in date, is shown cutting across a number of strip fields on that map. It is likely that the positive cropmark represents part of the hollow way of the road or possibly a roadside ditch.
