Map

March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a ring ditch of possible Bronze Age date is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This cropmark is located at TF 7072 3731. The ring ditch is circular in plan with a narrow ditch and outer bank. The external diameter of the ditch and bank are 13m and 17m respectively. It is possible that this ring ditch is of Bronze Age date and that it relates to a round barrow. It is unusual for the outer bank around the ring ditch to show as a cropmark, but the presence of these is known from earthwork round barrows. The ring ditch is located at the head of a small dry valley at approximately 24m OD.
