June 2013. Inspection.
Late 16th century timber frame with clasped purlin roof with single windbraces. Present gable-end stack is an addition which involved extending the frame to incorporate it. No evidence of original stair. Therefore it is a probable conversion from a non-domestic building. Primary diamond mullion windows upstairs and down suggest it was not a barn as such. 17th century additions to gable-end and to side. Gable-end extension contains evidence of copper and oven.
See (S2) for further details.
