Summary

Metal detecting in 2006 and 2008 recovered pieces of Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery, an Early Saxon brooch, Middle/Late Saxon hooked tags, a Late Saxon or medieval harness mount and medieval and post medieval metal objects. The post medieval metalwork includes a silver dress fitting. A single Mesolithic or Early Neolithic flint blade has also been found.

1 Roman pottery sherd (greyware).
4 Middle Saxon pottery sherds (Ipswich ware).
1 Late Saxon/medieval horse harness mount.
3 medieval coins, 15 pottery sherds (10 unglazed, 5 glazed grimston), 1 applique figure of Christ fragment from a book/furniture mount (gilt, see S1), 1 buckle frame, 1 buckle (gilt) and 1 thimble.
1 post-medieval coin, 3 pottery sherds (stone ware), 1 silver composite dress fitting part (gilt) and 2 lead cloth seals.

The silver dress fastener was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2006 T144) and returned to finder.

1 medieval coin, 1 strap end (gilt, unusual) 2 applique figure of Christ fragments from a book/furniture mount (gilt, joining and from the same figure that was located in January-February 2006), 1 lead Ampulla, 1 thimble, 1 iron padlock fragment, 1 strap-plate, 1 strap end, 1 buckle (annular), 1 scale-tang knife end-cap and 1 hooked strap/belt mount.
1 medieval/post-medieval belt/harness mount (gilt) and 1 buckle frame (tinned).
1 post-medieval coin, 2 buckle frames (inc 1 tinned) and 1 belt mount (tinned).

2 post-medieval coins, 1 sword belt hooked mount (17th century), 2 buckle frames (c. 1600-1720), 1 unidentified object (possibly a dress fitting) and 1 lead cloth seal.
1 ?post-medieval lead weight (?2oz).
