Summary

Metal-detecting between 2005 and 2019 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint blade; Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins (including pieced Roman coins); a medieval jetton; undated copper alloy casting waste and a range of other, Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated copper alloy ring; a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead fragment; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman bracelets, a brooch, furniture mount, ring and strap slide; a Roman/Early Saxon possible horse-headed pendant fragment; Early Saxon brooches and a wrist clasp; an Early/Middle Saxon buckle; a Middle Saxon pin; a Late Saxon brooch and stirrup-strap mount; a ?Late Saxon key; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval key, mount, possible book mount, harness mount, suspension unit for a horse harness pendant, stylus or writing lead, lead pendant weight and lead pot mend; medieval/post-medieval scabbard chapes and a lead weight and post-medieval harness mounts, sword belt fitting, end cap from knife handle, hinge from small container, mount, stud or mount and harness boss.
