Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A small boat is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (S1), centred at TG 5165 0817. It appears to have been relatively intact at that date, and had perhaps only recently been left at this location. It is not visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 (S2) and may have only been pulled up here temporarily. This would seem to be inconsistent, however, with the fact that the boat appears to have been partially buried by mud in 1945, and by 1947 it might instead have been entirely covered.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 29 March 2006.
