Summary

A late 17th century and later farmhouse. It is built of flint with brick dressings and has a pantile roof. The main section has two storeys and an attic, while an additional bay has two storeys. Large fireplaces, beams and 18th century panelling survive inside.

"Farmhouse, late 17th century, flint with brick dressings, pantiles. Two cell plan with end internal stacks, two storeys and attic, plus one bay to right of rear wing. Rendered plinth."

Document produced by owners (from 1992) describes the history of ownership and provides a description of the layout of the house. The present house is L-shaped. The 1666 hearth tax return records 4 hearths and refers to the 3 storey part of the house which faces west. The 2 storey part that faces south previously had an old building (possibly a barn) at the east (river) end.
