Site of sawmill shown on (S1).
In garden of bungalow on site in 1990 a steam engine excavated; identified as portable engine, 12 hp. 5 metric tonnes. Manufactured around 1890.
(S2) in file wrongly gives location as Sandy Lane; engine was never displayed at County School as intended.
